Švýcárna Slatiňany museum

A former sheep shelter which belonged to the Auerspergs was changed into the Museum of Kladruber Horse. Its expositions show a history of Kladruber horses, the town Slatiňany and Švýcárna. You can find there the biggest plush horse in the Czech Republic which is ready for riding – not for children only. You can also sit in a carriage, have a look at unique whips, saddles, horse collars etc. For the youngest visitors is prepared a drawing room, rocking horses and plush horses. Also - it must be mentioned - the Farming Room in the attic where you can see some examples of animals – typical for breeding in the surroundings of the Švýcárna. Lovers of documentaries can watch a lot of movies related to ironworking, reproduction and the common life of horses. The hot news of 2019 is a 3D painting installed in a playroom with interactive-educational features. The Museum of Kladruber Horse is full of embossed paintings based on optical illusions. The big advantage of the Švýcárna is its location – suitable for families and children. The museum is surrounded by beautiful nature – close to the famous miniature castle Kočičí hrádek.
